Do I need to pay for AI tools on top of this?

You need one AI chat with long answers — whichever one you already have. The big building prompts need that. If you don't have one, the manual recommends muse.ai from Meta, whose free tier can run the prompts in the book. The $9.99 does not include an AI subscription, and it is not locked to one vendor.
